  • PRODUCER INFORMATION

We run a family farm, milking around 200 cows, near Stroud, in Gloucestershire.

We produce free range milk from our cows grazed to Pasture Promise standards, which means they enjoy the freedom of the fields for a minimum of 180 days each year.

I (Liz Godsell) am a registered Master Cheesemaker and I am ably assisted by my husband Bryan, our daughters and a small team of local staff, in running the farm and making and selling our cheese.

We keep some Gloucester cattle on the farm alongside our other dairy cows and produce and number of old recipe, traditonal Gloucester cheeses. We have recently installed a mil vending machine on the farm and sell our free range milk direct from the farm gate.

Our commitment to farming in line with Pasture Promise standards, means we farm in a traditional way, with pasture and grazing at the heart of our milk production system. We have committed to environmental shemes and good practices on the farm, to protect the local environment and enhance biodiversity on the farm.

  • PRODUCT DETAILS

Our Pasture Promise free range milk comes from our own dairy herd, grazed in fields for a minimum of 180 days a year.

The milk is pasteurised on the farm and transferred straight into our self-service vending machine at the farm gate, ensuring it is super-fresh. You can buy reusable glass bottles through our vending machine.

The milk is unhomogenised, which means it will still develop a 'cream line' at the top when it settles, which you can either take off and enjoy, or shake to mix it back into the milk. We do not standardise our milk like big dairies do. This means that the fat and protein content of the milk will be exactly as it came from the cow. Fat levels will typically be between 3.8% and 4.2% depending on the season.
